My research examines financial intermediation and regulation. I study the interaction between financial regulation and bank behavior using quantitative models and empirical methods, with recent work on interest rate risk in the banking sector, capital regulation, and alternative asset management.

I am a 2026 Sloan Research Fellow in Economics, a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a SIEPR faculty fellow, a Research Affiliate at CEPR, Foreign Editor at the Review of Economic Studies, and a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Model Validation Council.

Previously, I was a faculty member at Harvard Business School.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a Diplom in Economics from Humboldt University Berlin.
